"In a garden, regardless of season: You are a pansy peeking out randomly along the fence. Between brownish grasses and weeds, their suspicious faces catch some rare light. Or you are a coneflower, standing tall, masking your skills, your orange bloom reaching for a sun that hardly shows itself anymore these days. Wrinkled apples, a garden hose, a glove, a dark yellow watering can with nettle manure, two silent beehives like small wooden monuments. Beneath, the soil hums with life. Mouldy compost feeds the roots that hold the garden together. Insects commute back and forth between trees, bushes, and flowers, carrying unknown supplies while a chilly wind scatters seeds. A bloom is part of a cycle, a plant a link in a garden’s quiet rhythm. Decay is pretty. Who are the gardeners?"
